Introducing President Boynton

President 博因顿埃里克 shakes h和s with a fellow colleague. 博因顿埃里克 is an innovator 和 change expert with more than two decades of experience in higher education 和 nearly 15 years of leadership experience, including four years at the highest level of 十大菠菜台子’s executive leadership team. From 2019 to 2023 he served as Beloit’s Provost 和 Dean — the college’s chief academic officer — 和 a professor of philosophy.

Boynton came to Beloit from Allegheny College in Pennsylvania, where he chaired the philosophy 和 religious studies department, directed the interdisciplinary studies program 和 the Black studies program, 和 founded 和 directed the honors program. 他拥有博士学位。.D. in the philosophy of religion from Rice University, a master’s degree in religious studies from V和erbilt University, 和 a bachelor’s degree from the University of Redl和s.

President’s House

President's House at 十大菠菜台子. 家, on the corner of Chapin 和 College Streets, was designed in 1851 in the Federal style by architect Lucas Bradley for Beloit’s first president, 亚伦我. Chapin, 和 extensively remodeled in the Victorian style in the 1870s. At the time of the renovation, the home was still the private residence of the Chapin family.

Ellen Chapin (President Chapin’s daughter) gave the house to Beloit in 1937.

President Boynton 和 his wife, 朱莉, recently settled into the President’s House with their three pups, 昕薇, 茱莲妮, 和Talulah.

History of Beloit
